Oil Pastel Backgrounds!

OK so am going to try to post how I did the cards with the oil pastels. I hope everyone understands. If not just leave me a comment and I will answer it!

Supplies you need are: Watercolor paper i use an 18x24 size sheet, painters tape, cotton balls, oil pastels good quality works best, mineral oil.

Tape the paper to your work surface if you notice i didn't measure anything I just made sure the tape was half way on the table and the paper both.

I divided my into 12 even squares. I just eyed it!

Next take 3 to 4 colors of the oil pastels and just scribble all over the paper. Try not to stop in the middle of the section of a square. Try to use all sides and not leave too much of a blank area on the sides.

Next take a cotton ball and get it pretty wet almost dripping with the mineral oil. And follow your oil pastel lines start with the lightest color and change cotton balls for the next color and so on untill all the line look smeary.

After that I decieded to stamp a little flourish randomly all over the paper I used Tim Holtz distress ink Faded Jeans.

Remove tape to reveal your new creations.

They make great backgrounds or just use the for card fronts!

Hope you enjoy!

I cant remember where I first saw this kit but I thought it was cute and had to make one for my self!

This was something I cased. Its mt attempt at the one stamp wonder.
I used one 81/2 by 11 sheet of cardstock and stamped the flower image and managed to use it on 9 cards! Then I made the box also cased using 2 sheets of cardstock. I think I am going to add 3 more cards to make an even 12 and try to sell it!

I made these cards using oil pastels and mineral oil I think they came out way too cool!

I made these Inchies using scraps!
